4×4 Off Roading ( Green Laning ) SUZUKI GRAND VITARA | Surrey United Kingdom, Autumn 2020 | 4WD

Having missed excellent Autumn days where we have the sunny skies and all the great Autumn colours, I told the family we needed to head out and Surrey was the destination! 1: not having been there yet for leisure and 2: For the Green Laning! Wolvens Lane being my main interest point but I soon found out there are a few good lanes to try out as well! …

This bog-hole was of particular … Fun! Even to the most moderate of Green Laners out there … but of course there is the surface off to the left of the frame which is the alternative route.

Below: We found ourselves faced with one of two facts; fact 1: Stop here, sigh and turn back … then when driving away fact 2 come into mind; a chainsaw and winch would have sent you on your way and you would have earned a few brownie points in lane clearance / maintenance … DOH! maybe next time…

Parked up awaiting the plotting of the detour to the next lane …

Note: The ”Budget Recovery Boards” on the roof rails, this I will cover in both a video on the channel as well as here on the blog.

Above: Some of the scenery we were instantly greeted with upon arrival at the next Green Lane – this particular lane I drove a couple weeks prior to this trip, only by this part it had become quite dark already that time.

Below: This track goes under a couple of the not so well known arch bridges in Surrey …
It truly is a privelage to be able to drive lanes like these, I can see why there is a width restriction on the ends enuring the lane remains clean of rubbish (fly tipping etc.)
Plenty of Bog-Holes to keep the keen 4×4 driver happy … plus a few Land Rover bits lying around the bigger bog holes! HAHA
Autumn colours are the best, red / orange / brown bed canopied with lime greens, oranges, yellows and reds.

Stopping off, mainly to take in the colours but also the kids wanted a splash in the upcoming Bog Hole (the one at the top of this post) – man the Suzuki GV looks Good!

Below: Ending the day, a little dissapointed but still with a great grin on my face – the main highlight of the day was to visit the infamous Wolvens Lane, maintenance was supposed to be finished by the 20th of October ’20 and as of the weekend of 7th/8th November – the signage and blockages remain …

Remember to swing by the Channel for video footage of both Green Laning as well as 4WD action at off roading days on private sites around London!.

Cheers
